It is a Japanese martial art based on handling the energy of the attacker, to achieve harmony with the principle that no one has the right to hurt and that to respond with violence would only create more violence. Founded by Morihei Ueshiba, during the late 1920s through the 1930s through the synthesis of the older martial arts, Aikido is a martial art that focuses on harmonizing with your opponent to bring peaceful resolutions to situations involving conflict. It is a perfect training and philosophy to apply on our daily lives. It gives you center, perspective, and a tool to connect with others.
